PRESIDENT’S LEADERSHIP CLASS 2024 APPLICATION INFORMATION

The President's 领导 Class (PLC) is designed to develop and enhance leadership skills and knowledge. The course will explore the personal, 人际关系, 组织, and social dimensions in the greater context of leadership. The goal of the course is to develop self-aware, 道德, and principle-centered future leaders with the ability to think critically, apply a proven process for decision-making, and communicate effectively.

资格

To be considered for participation, applicants must have completed the following by May 21, 2024 (end of the spring semester):

• 15 credit hours at OCCC in 1000 level courses or higher.
• Successfully completed ENGL 1113 (or equivalent).
• 至少有3个.0 cumulative or retention GPA from the date of application through the 2024年秋季 semester.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Submit completed application and one letter of recommendation from an OCCC 教师 or 工作人员 member. All must be emailed to Liz Largent, Chair of Multidisciplinary Studies, at 莉斯.a.largent@bgo-shop.com 2024年3月11日.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

• Be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credit hours during the 2024年秋季 semester.
• Enroll in and complete PLC-2112, which meets 3 to 4:40 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in the early 8-week term of the 2024年秋季 semester.
• Intend to graduate from OCCC.

2024年秋季

• Participants will have the opportunity to work and learn from some of the top leaders from OCCC and the Oklahoma City area, as well as participate in special activities and events through their enrollment in PLC-2112.
• In-State 学费 and 费用 for up to 8 credit hours at OCCC.
• Up to a $500 Book Stipend for the OCCC 书店.

2025年春季

• Students who successfully complete the course with a “C” or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 will receive in-state tuition and fees for up to 6 credit hours at OCCC and up to a $500 book stipend for the OCCC 书店.
